Stop Soldier Suicide is honored to make its debut this year at Marine Corps Marathon, and what better year to join! This year is extra special, celebrating both the 50th anniversary of the Marine Corps Marathon and the USMC's 250th birthday!
At Stop Soldier Suicide, we’re committed to our military community in providing mental health services to those at risk of suicide. We believe that no one who’s served our country should stand alone, and by serving all who have or currently wear the uniform, we’re here to answer the call. With your support, veterans and service members who receive our services never see a bill, and have renewed hope.
Join us for the 50th Marine Corps Marathon as we remember those lost to suicide, honor our military community and advance, together, to save lives.
Veterans and service members are 58% more likely to die by suicide than their civilian peers.
More than 6,000 veterans have died by suicide over the past 20 years
Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death for veterans under the age of 45
Joining Team SSS creates an opportunity to honor our veterans and service members while raising awareness for our mission to save lives. Every step and every stride, along with every dollar raised, directly funds confidential, individualized mental health services and resourcing to veterans and service members at a higher risk of suicide.
The Marine Corps Marathon, one of the largest and most iconic marathons in the world and proudly known as "The People's Marathon," will take place on Sunday, October 26, 2025.
