The Campus Ruck Challenge is a volunteer initiative for college students to raise awareness and support for Stop Soldier Suicide.
Led primarily by ROTC cadets and veterans on campus, this challenge serves as an opportunity for students to go beyond their comfort zones, show support for the military community, and promote mental health and well-being — all while competing against other schools and campus organizations across the country.
Our next Campus Ruck Challenge is in October 2024. Registration will open soon! Fill out the form below to learn more.
Rucking is basically walking or hiking with a weighted backpack. It's a common training exercise among service members to improve endurance, strength, and mental toughness — and it's a great opportunity to connect with others.
Teams are encouraged to fundraise for Stop Soldier Suicide as part of their challenge experience and tell others about our life-saving mission. Donations help us provide free mental health and wellness care to veterans and service members of all branches and generations. Learn how you can make a difference.
Teams and participants are encouraged to invite other student groups and campus organizations to participate in the challenge by donating, rucking, or starting their own team. All student participants are welcome and eligible to earn community service hours and challenge rewards.
